About Our Community Giving Program
At Sandoz, being an active participant in our communities is a priority. Our program for community contributions articulates our business goals and values and demonstrates our commitment to upholding them.The foundation of our approach to community giving serves as the basis for decisions and actions throughout the United States and particularly in the areas in which Sandoz operates. It is an expansion of our existing focus on health, science education, youth programs and our overall Corporate Citizenship program. At Sandoz, we recognize our responsibility in improving the health and standard of living among our shareholders, employees, customers, neighbors and the public at large, and support our ability to help make a difference. Our goal is to invest in programs and initiatives in our communities that will have a large or long-term impact to make a positive difference in the people who need help most. These programs and initiatives should focus on health improvement; science endeavors and advancements; and youth education and growth opportunities, particularly related to the sciences. In addition, our community giving program aligns with our Corporate Citizenship policy and our core values, which are based on the fundamental rights of every individual, such as the protection of privacy, freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of association, nondiscrimination, and the right to be heard. Here at Sandoz, our Vision is “Making a world of difference in generics.” We feel that incorporates our desire of giving back to our communities through monetary donations, product donations as allowed by law, and volunteerism from our employees.

Who May Apply
Non-profit organizations are invited to submit a request for a donation to Sandoz. All requests should fulfill our community relations mission supporting:- health improvement and research;
- science endeavors and advancements; and
- youth education and growth opportunities, particularly related to the sciences.

Requests for sponsorship of workshops, lectures, conferences, and the like should be directed to our parent company, Novartis. Rrequests for scholarship support should also be directed to Novartis. Information regarding the Novartis Foundation can be found at the following website: |
Selection and Notification Process
Decisions on contributions will be based on meeting our giving guidelines as well as the following criteria:- Alignment with community relations mission and core values;
- Synergy with Sandoz business;
- Long-term growth or ongoing improvement opportunities;
- General need toward organization’s objectives;
- Sandoz charitable budget resources.

All contribution requests will be treated objectively, equally and with respect. Priority will be given to those nonprofit organizations that can demonstrate the most significant impact on meeting our mission of health improvement and research; science endeavors and advancements; and youth education and growth opportunities, particularly related to the sciences. All organizations receiving a contribution from Sandoz must acknowledge Sandoz support in all promotional materials.Sandoz reserves the right to the interpretation, application and administration of the Community Giving program. |
