Are Sandoz salaries competitive?

Sandoz utilizes a market-based compensation approach. "Market-based" compensation means Sandoz looks outside the organization and sets our pay levels based upon the market in which we compete for business and talent. When determining market pay levels for our positions, we compare our jobs to those found in published salary surveys based upon a number of factors, including job responsibilities, education, and level. The survey sources used let us compare our jobs to ones in other organizations that are similar in size and revenue. Salary ranges are then constructed for each position. Salary ranges are a construct of our compensation program that helps guide pay decisions by serving as a fair and equitable way to recognize individual and job differences.

A move to a new location provides a wide range of opportunities for different experiences and personal growth. It is the intention of Sandoz to provide financial assistance and professional services to assist our new hires with relocation. The program is designed to offset the impact of the relocation on new hires and their families. When a new hire enters the program, they are assigned a Sandoz Site Coordinator who will assist and advise them during their entire relocation.

In order to be eligible for Sandoz's New Hire Relocation Policy, the new hire must meet the IRS guidelines for a qualified relocation to the new work location:

  • The one-way commuting distance from present residence to new work location must be 50 miles greater than the distance traveled from present residence to old work location, and
  • The new hire must be a full-time employee at the new location for at least thirty-nine (39) weeks in the 12-month period immediately following the start of work.
